Leeds Train Station

WTL were approached by Buckingham Group Ltd to replace like for like bespoke hand made steel fence panels to the perimeter of Princess car park to match the existing fencing, work started on this project early Jan 2020.

The task was to replicate the possible 50+ year old steel fencing to as near match as possible, we sourced a local fabricator with the skill and expertise to measure, design and make 16 panels and matching posts. Within one week we had our template design which was approved for construction. Each panel was fabricated from mild steel, welded to exact dimensions and sent for powder coating gloss black. Panels, when finished weighed in at 160kgs each and posts at 20kgs.

Installation took approximately one and half weeks, re-fabricating and using existing panels where possible to maintain the look of the project and keep the aesthetics of the station unchanged although making way for the new platform and remodelling of Leeds Station.

Below the photos detail show the Paladin installation which ran the perimeter of the line side car park area, powder coated black and finished to a very high standard, including electronic pedestrian access gates and a 4m vehicular access gate.

Installation of over 175m of Lineside 50mm GRP handrail, the majority were resin bolted to the concrete kerbs and all joints and connections riveted for safety and strength.

Lastly to finish the main carpark area we installed galvanised Armco barriers as can be seen below: -
