Normanton Regrade

Having previously cleared the embankment of all vegetation and trees in July 2019 at Normanton nr Wakefield, WTL have returned after the client regraded the work site and a specialist contractor was used to hydro seed the area prior to our return to lay and pin an erosion control blanket.

Using the wooden 300mm pins provided by the supplier we laid the erosion control blanket with a 75mm overlap and at the top of the embankment as can be seen from the photos we used our 1.5t JCB to excavate at 150mm x 150mm anchor trench to hold the top of the blanket in place.

WTL operatives hold Irata level 1,2 and 3's certification and are able to set up and traverse the embankment in a safe manner to roll and pin the erosion control netting, this is one of the strengths of having such a diverse team of operatives, holding Irata in addition to chainsaw, brush cutter, hedgetrimmer qualifications as well as being able to work from ropes traversing down or climbing trees makes WTL stand out from the rest.
