Bridge Security Works at Long Eaton

WTL partnered with Construction Marine Ltd to install new galvanised palisade fencing beneath a railway bridge at Long Eaton. The goal was to secure the area while protecting the integrity of the bridge structure.

Project Scope

The works were scheduled to be completed within one week. Using our on-site welders, we built the palisade fencing in-situ, carefully shaping it to follow the curved head of the bridge and adjoining sides.

Construction Process

To avoid placing stress on the bridge walls, the fencing was designed as a free-standing structure. Posts were chemically anchored into a concrete base that had been poured prior to our arrival, ensuring stability and strength. Once in place, the fencing provided a secure barrier while maintaining the bridge’s structural integrity.

Outcome

The works were delivered efficiently and to a high standard. The new palisade fencing achieved complete security for the area beneath the bridge, with a durable resin floor-bolted framework that ensures long-term performance.
